Via Marseille (Recommandé)
Aéroport
Si vous venez de loin, l'aéroport de Marseille-Provence (code MRS) est le plus proche de l'Isle sur la Sorgue.
En voiture
Conduire à l'Isle sur la Sorgue depuis l'aéroport de Marseille prend environ 1 heure. Si votre hébergement se trouve en dehors de l'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (Avignon, Cavaillon...), nous vous recommandons de disposer d'une voiture. Vous pouvez louer des voitures depuis l'aéroport de Marseille (voir ici). Pour vous rendre à L'Isle sur la Sorgue depuis l'aéroport, veuillez suivre le trajet indiqué ici.
En transports en commun (bus ou train)
Si votre hébergement se trouve à l'Isle sur la Sorgue, vous n'aurez probablement pas besoin de voiture et pourrez prendre le bus ou le train depuis l'aéroport jusqu'à l'Isle sur la Sorgue. Si vous choisissez de prendre le bus, le mieux est la ligne pour Carpentras avec 3 à 4 départs chaque jour. Vous pouvez acheter des tickets à l'aéroport ou directement dans le bus, avec pour destination L'Isle sur la Sorgue.
Si vous choisissez de prendre le train, nous vous recommandons de prendre le TER depuis la station de l'aéroport Vitrolles Aéroport Marseille Provence jusqu'à la destination L’ISLE FONTAINE-DE-VAUCLUSE. Vous pouvez réserver vos tickets en ligne ici.
Via Paris
Depuis Paris il faut compter 7 à 9 heures de voiture jusqu'à L'Isle sur la Sorgue, donc nous recommandons le TGV jusqu'à Avignon ou de prendre un vol pour Marseille. Il y a des agences de location de voiture dans les gares d'Avignon.
En train (recommandé)
Si vous prenez le train, nous recommandons le TGV depuis Gare de Lyon à Paris. Si vous n'avez pas besoin d'une voiture durant le weekend, vous pouvez prendre une correspondance jusqu'à la station L'Isle - Fontaine-de-Vaucluse. Si vous comptez louer une voiture, vous pouvez prendre le train jusqu'à Avignon TGV, où vous pourrez trouver des agences de location. Pour réserver vos billets: Voyages SNCF.
En voiture
Comme déjà mentionné, cela prend du temps de conduire depuis Paris donc nous recommandons de prendre le train. Si vous devez conduire absolument, vous pouvez trouver des directions ici. Des places de parking seront disponibles à la maison des Hugues.

Because it's a holiday weekend in the US, we suggest booking your flights as early as possible to avoid increases in fares.
Via Marseilles (Recommended)
Airport
If you're coming from far away and traveling directly to our wedding, we recommend that you fly into Marseilles Airport (airport code MRS). It is the closest major airport to L'Isle sur la Sorgue.
By car
From Marseilles Airport, it is about an hour's drive to L'Isle sur la Sorgue from the airport. If you will be staying outside of L'Isle sur la Sorgue (e.g., Avignon, Cavaillon, etc.), then we'd recommend having a car. You can rent a car with many international rental car companies directly at Marseilles Airport; information can be found here. Via public transit (bus or train)
If you will be staying directly in L'Isle sur la Sorgue, the town is walkable. You probably will not need a rental car, so you have the option of taking one of the many inexpensive buses or trains from the airport to L'Isle sur la Sorgue. If you opt to go by bus, you will want to take the Carpentras Shuttle which leaves 3-4 times per day. You can buy tickets at the airport or directly on the bus; you will want a ticket with the destination L'Isle sur la Sorgue.
If you opt to go by train, you will want to take a TER (Train Express Régional) train. The name of the departure station at Marseilles Airport is Vitrolles Aéroport Marseille Provence, and the name of the destination station is L’ISLE FONTAINE-DE-VAUCLUSE, not L'Isle sur la Sorgue. You can book train tickets online before your trip here. (Tip: Select the departure/destination stations from the list of stations rather than typing them in. You don't need to select a particular trip; just a date — tickets are good for any trip on that date.)
Via Paris
Some people have asked whether it's also possible to fly into Paris a little bit early, and make their way down to the South of France for the wedding. This is definitely possible.
From Paris, it is quite a long drive (about a 7-9 hours) to L'Isle sur la Sorgue, so it is advisable to take the high speed train (the TGV, or the Train à Grande Vitesse) to Avignon or a short flight to Marseilles. If you are planning to spend time in Paris before the wedding, you probably will not need a car until you get to the South, and there are rental car agencies at both the Marseilles Airport and the Avignon train station.
Airport
Paris is served by two airports, Charles de Gaulle Airport (airport code CDG) and Orly Airport (airport code ORY). While Orly is closer to the city center, Charles de Gaulle has many more international flights and is easily accessible by train (the RER).
By train (recommended)
If you opt to go by train, you will want to take a TGV from the Gare de Lyon in Paris. If you do not need a rental car during the wedding weekend, you can take the train directly to the L'Isle - Fontaine-de-Vaucluse station (not L'Isle sur la Sorgue). If you will need a rental car, you can instead take the train to Avignon TGV station, where you can rent a car. You can book train tickets online before your trip at either Voyages SNCF or Rail Europe.
Depending on where you are coming from, it could be cheaper to fly to Paris and immediately take the TGV to Avignon, even if you are not planning to spend time in Paris beforehand. There is a TGV station right inside of Charles de Gaulle Airport in Terminal 2. If you fly on Air France, you can even combine your plane and train ticket into a single reservation by choosing Avignon, Train Station (code XZN) as your destination (and then if your plane is delayed, you are still guaranteed a seat on the next available train).
By car
As mentioned, it's quite a long drive from Paris to L'Isle sur la Sorgue, so we recommend taking the train. If you need to drive, you can find driving directions from Paris to L'Isle sur la Sorgue here. Parking will be provided on-site at the Hugues Residence for those who need it.
